Dahshur

Situated approximately 64 kilometres south of Cairo, the royal necropolis of Dahshur is the site of where the two main Pyramids from the Old Kingdom were constructed. This private tour will take you to the unusual shaped and transitional formed Bent Pyramid, which is unique and considered to be the first proper pyramid, because up until this period the pyramids were stepped, like Djoser’s in Sakkara. The sightseeing continues a kilometre north with a visit to the Red Pyramid, the world’s first true smooth sided pyramid.
