- The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality is launching the first free public transportation system on the Friday nights and Saturdays (the Jewish Sabbath/Shabbat) across the city and surrounding areas. The busses will run from Friday evening through Saturday evening. The Jewish Sabbath lasts from Friday at sundown until Saturday at sundown, and normal public transportation is not available during this time.
- Buses within Tel Aviv are run by a number of companies, however, the company running most of the routes, and most of the major routes which you are likely to use, is Dan. Dan buses are blue and white. Like any city, Tel Aviv has several very useful high-frequency bus routes. Because the city isn’t so big, for most visitors, just knowing three or four bus routes can be all you ever need to know (unless you want to venture out of the centre of town into some of the neighbouring cities or suburbs). Most buses in Tel Aviv do not run on Shabbat. Services end on Friday mid-afternoon and resume on Saturday night (times depending on time of year and start and end of Shabbat). Sherut services continue to run.
- There is a train that runs between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, a duration of 30minutes. Yitzhak Navon Railway Station is located in Jerusalem Because it is such a new station, it currently only uses routes from Jerusalem to Herzliya. It stops at Ben Gurion airport and stations throughout Tel Aviv.

Jaffa: The Flea Market is a key site, and the sounds, and smells of the small alleyways and streets which make up this city are lined with artists galleries and studios, as well as boutique and craft shops As you weave your way through the winding streets, you’ll find an abundance of knickknacks and treasures. Vendors display their eclectic offerings of Judaica, Persian rugs and tiles, antiques, jewellery, and old coins. Embrace your inner-Israeli as you practice your bargaining skills, then carry your keepsakes to the nearest cafe to reward yourself with some local delicacies. The flea market itself is open Sunday through Thursday (10 am – 6 pm) and Friday (10 am – 2 pm). And area is bustling 24/7 with some of the best bars and restaurants in the city.
