Today fully guided tour including visits to: Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the Spice Bazaar. Optional Turkish dinner show. (B)
Morning departure to Gallipoli to visit the Anzac battlefields and cemeteries. See Anzac Cove, the landing beach that became a vital base and lifeline for supplies during the Gallipoli Campaign. Also visit Nek, Chunuk Bair and Lone Pine Memorial, the site of some of the bloodiest fighting on the peninsula. Cross the Dardanelles to Canakkale. Overnight Kolin Hotel. (B, D)
Today visit Troy, see the symbolic wooden horse that was built to pay tribute to the legendary war. Continue the tour by driving to Pergamum, which was the rival city of Ephesus and the capital of the rich Pergamum Kingdom before the Roman Empire. It was here that first Christians were executed by Rome. Continue to Kusadasi for overnight at Charisma Deluxe Hotel. (B, D)
Tour the famous ruins of Ephesus one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world. During the Roman era Ephesus was an extremely wealthy city, known worldwide as a city of trade, art, entertainment and finance. Afternoon visit to traditional village of Sirinice. (B, D)
After breakfast head to Izmir. Continue to the modern town of Akhisar, a town where Christianity spread rapidly. Return to Kusadasi for dinner and overnight at Charisma Deluxe Hotel. (B, D)
Morning drive to Pamukkale through the fertile plains and visit the ancient city of Hierapolis and the Travertine (natural spring). In the afternoon head to the ancient city of Laodicea, situated seven kilometres from Pamukkale, and visit the Laodicean Church, one of the seven churches addressed in the Book of Revelation. Drive to Philadelphia, one of the churches addressed in the Book of Revelations. Then continue to Sardis, one of the Seven Churches of Asia and the capital of the Ancient Kingdom of Lydia. Here we will see a Roman era Synagogue, a well preserved gymnasium and other ruins (Rev 3-6). Transfer to Izmir airport for flight to Istanbul. Overnight Point Hotel Taksim. (B)
